1.0/5Nicole from Australia stayed in a Deluxe air-condition for 4 days.

Overpriced, terrible experience: security issues. We were placed in the Ajuna room at the back of the complex. The window had no lock (could be easily opened from the outside with little effort) there was no safe and the door was only secured by a piece of timber wedged through the back contraption. When you leave the only way to lock the door is with their padlock through the very worn ornate door handles. We found our room left open on two occasions during our stay. The male staff relentlessly harass you to purchase tours, spa treatments and any transportation you require: when you arrive and over each breakfast. If you can't handle being stared at while you eat, don't stay here! The room's sheets had holes in them: some patched, some not. The old wool blankets had not been cleaned in a very long time; both travellers broke out in rashes by the second day of our stay to what we believe is dust mites - a combination of the blankets and centimetre high dust on the window ledges, cupboards and beds. The bathroom shower was terrible and sprayed water everywhere, black mould was apparent in the grout. Towels were threadbare. Breakfast was basic and not often delivered as ordered. The staff are clearly over the tourists who visit and become quite hostile when you refuse (more) tour bookings or spa treatments. No wi-fi, no television or radio. The only thing Puri Saraswati has going for is it's locaton: it's extermely central, but you can do much better in terms of value for money and room quality if you stay around Hanoman Rd. Puri Saraswati is in dire need of renovations and updating of sheets and new blankets. It clearly hasn't been renovated since it was built.

The location is very convenient, next to Palace - the location shown on map of the website is not correct. Good service.
